The CT SDE released its 2009 CMT and CAPT results on July 29^th.  As Monroe reviews its scores, there is significant progress in student achievement K-12, in all curricular areas.  Most notably, Monroe 4^th grade students scored as one of the highest cohorts of students throughout the entire state.  Additionally, tenth-grade students increased their science scores by 17%, moving to the second highest district in the state.  While Monroe still has some areas of improvement to address, the positive growth as a district this past year will provide a solid foundation for continuous improvement efforts going forward.
